April Newsletter 2022

Welcome to our April e-newsletter. Despite the limitations that COVID-19 is having here in Perth, Western Australia and in communities around the world, there is a great feeling of opportunity amongst our volunteers and members at 100 Women. 2022 is shaping up to be our biggest year of growth since our inception in 2014. This year we hope to reach our $1 million dollar goal in collective giving. This will have a wide reaching impact on our dual purpose of increasing everyday philanthropy and empowering women and girls in need of health, education, safety and economic opportunity.

Next month we will celebrate National Volunteering Week, so I wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge all of our volunteers. We have more than 35 volunteers that make up our core operations and without them, we simply wouldn’t exist. In fact, whenever you receive a phone call or an email from our team, they are most likely one of our valued volunteers. We are incredibly proud of the community we have built and continue to nurture here at 100 Women and we are grateful for the passion and energy they bring to our team.

In this edition, we are delighted to share with you an update from our 2020 grant recipients One Girl. We are also spotlighting Kristy Rodwell, our Founding Grant Maker, and Gry Stene another wonderful member.
Don’t forget that our Expressions of Interest for our 2022 Grant, close on Friday 29th April and we still have some tickets left for our Connect Event at Cecchi’s next week. We hope to see you there!
