Yesterday our inaugural grants EOI submission period closed; what a wonderful milestone for our giving circle of 66 members! The Grants Sub-committee will be busy reviewing the Expressions of Interest over the coming weeks to recommend to the Advisory Committee which organisations will be invited to submit a full grant application.
All 100 Women members will have to opportunity to review the grant assessment information in November, then vote on which application they believe is the most deserving of a 100 Women grant. If you would like to be part of this process, join the 100 Women giving circle before 30 September! A 100% tax deductible donation of $1200 to 100 Women ensures your participation in collectively deciding on the successful grant recipients.
If you are not in a position to become a full member of 100 Women before 30 September then perhaps you can rally your friends to create a mini circle with you. Or maybe you would like to make a one off donation to contribute to the pool of funding going out in the 2014 100 Women grants, you can do so through the Give Now portal.
100 Women grants will be awarded up to a maximum amount of $40,000 and will support causes that are in line with our 100 Women vision and values to;
- Increase the economic empowerment of women from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Increase the health outcomes of women and girls
- Increase educational opportunities for girls and women
- Stop forced prostitution and sex trafficking
- Stop gender-based violence.
