100 Women is a 100% volunteer run organisation and our advisory board members play an integral role by providing strategic direction and leadership. Grace Mugabe is the Treasurer for 100 Women.
Get to know Grace
Grace is a qualified CPA and Graduate of AICD (Australian Institute of Company Directors) and owner of Financially Empowered, which she launched to assist women in business to become familiar and overcome any fears associated with handling their own finances.
Grace and 100 Women
Grace played a significant role in the financial and operational set up of 100 Women and ensures that the organisation meets their financial obligations, comply with tax legislation, liaises with the auditor and provide monthly reporting to the Advisory Board. Grace was also a speaker at the 100 Women Economic Empowerment for Women event held in October 2015 alongside Sharon Warburton.
Achievements
She has been the recipient of multiple awards including:
- Awarded a Cultural Diversity Scholarship from the Australian Government to pursue a qualification as a Company Director from the AICD – Grace is now a GAICD
- Scholarship to participate in the Leadership WA’s Rising Leadership Program – March 2016
- Belmont Small Business Awards Finalist 2015 for Volunteer of the Year
- 2016 Nifnex 100 Influential Awards Nominee
Grace has also featured as a case study sharing her board journey in the book Difference Makers: A Leader’s Guide to Championing Diversity on boards published by Major St Publishing in 2016 about the importance of diversity on boards and participated as a coach at LEAP Leadership Program held at the UCLA.
Grace is a board member that continually adds value through her strategic suggestions, improvements and participation.
