On Saturday 15th August, 100 Women Co-Founder Alicia Curtis, won the Stella Giles Award for her work benefiting women and girls in the community. The award was presented to Alicia at a Soroptimist International of Western Australia award lunch. Alicia won $3,000 to go towards 100 Women.

“The $3,000 awarded will allow us to build and expand 100 Women as 100% of our member donations go to our grants pool,” Alicia said. The money will allow 100 Women to expand its capacity, so the non-profit can reach even more women locally and around the world.
Alicia was nominated by Soroptimist International of South Perth Club (pictured above).
“I’m absolutely excited to receive this award on behalf of the 100 Women team. The impact it will make on 100 women is huge. 100 Women is run by volunteers, so sponsorships like this make a big difference.” Alicia said.
Previous winners of the award include the founder of a charity that delivers rice and clothing to an orphanage in Bali (2009), and a non-profit that reverses deformed facial features in children (1999).
