Our 2014 Grants Process

Grant Info Night Megan Close-1On the 30th October, it was great to see nearly half our membership attend our first Grants Information evening, expertly facilitated by Co-Founder and Vice-Chair, Megan Anderson.   Megan shared the rigorous process that the grants committee had followed to go from over 50 applications to the 7 finalists presented to members.

Here’s what our members said about the evening:

“The Grant Information Night was incredibly informative and full of insight. Learning about the attitudes and expertise of the Advisory and Grants Committees–as well as the rigour of the grants process–has me brimming with confidence about 100 Women’s ability to make a positive impact. This is truly something special in the making, and I am excited to be a part of it.”
Hannah van Didden

“Last night captured me – I saw the outstanding work of the committee, the commitment by a group of women to change lives and the power of collective action.  I also learnt a lot about philanthropy. Well done to all involved!”
Dr Nicky Howe

“Last night’s 100 Women event was a great opportunity to understand the dedication of the founding members and to hear in detail the pathway to determining the grant finalists. What was plainly obvious was just how much can be achieved when a group of passionate women from a broad range of backgrounds  come together to achieve a shared goal. I am excited to be part of such an engaging giving circle.  Well done 100 Women!”
