In 2014, our inaugural year, Global Development Group were awarded $14,400 to fund the Restore One program (previously known as Restore Rose) in two Cambodian provinces. The program’s main aim is to address the health and hygiene needs of women in extremely poor villages through education and including providing menstrual cups.

This allows the women to: not have to spend food money on sanitary products, have no sanitary waste in the village, and to take control of their lives. More than 4000 women were given a new way of living.

Our definition of women includes transgender and cisgender, all those who experience or have experienced oppression as women, including non-binary and gender non-conforming people and all those who identify as women.

We would also like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island People. We would like to acknowledge their continued connection to this Country and recognise that their culture is alive, and their connections continue as they have before we were here, and will continue as one of the oldest cultures in the world.
