Celebrating 5 Year of Giving
The 100 Women Advisory Board is excited to announce our six grant finalists for 2018. Excitement is building for the 5th Grants Gala with the announcement of the grant recipients on Friday, 2 November at the Hyatt Regency. The deadline for tickets to this inspiring event is Tuesday, 30th October.
From the 43 expressions of interest we received earlier in the year, 12 were invited to submit full grant applications. Following rigorous evaluation and assessment by the Grants Committee, six finalists have emerged. A summary of the inspiring projects is below and Members were sent the full briefings to enable them to cast their votes for their preferred projects.

Finalists Announced
Our six exceptional grant finalists for 2018 are:
Birthing Kit Foundation Australia with Teso Women Peace Activists is improving the maternal health and life outcomes of vulnerable pregnant teenagers and their infants in Uganda.
Dress for Success Perth is equipping unemployed women with job search skills and professional resumes via its Resume Hub program, an extension to the personalised suiting, interview support and career workshops already offered.
The Freedom Hub’s Freedom School for Survivors in Brisbane is supporting the social and economic reintegration of victims of sex-trafficking, forced prostitution, or slavery. This is an expansion of services after much success in Sydney.
One Girl Australia in partnership with Restless Development is improving economic outcomes for vulnerable women and girls in Sierra Leone by providing business management, health and life skills training.
The Shooting Stars Netball Program, hosted by Glass Jar Australia and Netball WA, is using netball and other tools to increase school attendance rates for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls living in regional and remote communities across WA.
The Sunflower Foundation is providing a safe learning environment for girls in Kibera, Kenya to learn literacy and numeracy skills with the aim of improving admission rates to formal secondary education.
